Biography of Kerry Fortin

    A Metis artist of Algonquin extraction, Kerry uses a multiplicity of form and colour to express himself. He has engaged his creativity since childhood and worked through several phases of accomplishment.

     Although he derived pleasure and in many cases extra income from it, something felt unconnected.. incomplete.

     Over the last five years Kerry has made an abrupt turn and not only explored his surroundings but the unconcious, where according to the Moderns, "all art comes from".

     Technical skill is now being enhanced and elevated to provoke the viewer through engagement of emotion in his art.

     In fact, by his own addmission he has given up"...emotionless art in order to concentrate on what I feel is art".
